This documentary titled “Professionally Amateur”, follows the story of Brendan O Donoghue. It delves into the story of what it was like for Brendan to go professional and teases whether he wants to or even can get back onto the tour. He is still highly competitive in the amateur competitions, and we find out that he has had opportunities to go pro again but he only revels later why he didn’t take these chances. Being one of the best in any sport requires a lot of sacrifice and we find out about this sacrifices during the documentary and Brendan’s opinions on whether the effort is worth the reward. We will find out about Brendan’s trials and tribulations and what he wants for the future of his career. Brendan’s partner will also be giving her perspective of what it is like helping someone get to such a prominent level. I will also see what sacrifices she has had to make. “ It takes a village to raise a child” as the old proverb goes.
