Centuries of Stones

My name is Kevin Roche and I am making a documentary on Ardfert Cathedral. It is called Centuries of Stones. It is a ruined cathedral built in the 12th century. It is 10 mins north of Tralee. The documentary will focus on Dónal Stack, who is the head guide at Ardfert Cathedral. He has been working there since 1994, which is when the OPW took it over and renovated it. Dónal will tell me a brief history of the site, including who built it and why at this location. Also, included will be a few stories from the other churches on site. There is a visitor centre at the cathedral that runs from March to September. My documentary has music made by a MTU Cork student I am collaborating with.

The aim of my documentary is to highlight the history of a local ruin and why it should be kept up and its importance to humanity going forward.
