Pandora’s Perspective

Pandora is a young woman living in the shadow of male intrusion, her every movement haunted by fear that lingers even in silence. A night walk through an empty car park exposes the unease women know too well. Where footsteps echo louder than words.
In therapy sessions, Pandora reflects on her art, her paintings once calm sanctuaries that suddenly twist into dark, violent forms as misogynistic voices invade her thoughts. The canvas becomes a battlefield, her rage erupting in torn fabric and scattered threads.
But beyond the therapy room lies something deeper. In a feverish dream, Pandora imagines men of her past awaiting judgment, women observing. She wakes with purpose.
From a wooden box, she resurrects her anger through creation, stitching dolls from remnants fabric, pins, objects belonging to men from her memories. Each doll becomes a vessel, an act of reclamation and control.
As her “sessions” continue, the line between patient and therapist blurs. Pandora takes her place in the therapist’s chair, calm and assured, her collection of dolls silently watching. The cycle begins anew as she closes her box, her faint smile revealing the quiet satisfaction of vengeance contained within creation.
