Synopsis
A Thriller discussing themes of Identity and Loss.
After the death of his spouse, Oscar becomes apathetic to life itself. Suddenly thrust into an unfamiliar environment to him, he progresses forward. Haunted by flashbacks, and a caricature of his wife, his personified grief, does he realize how much of his life centered around her, and how much he had ignored her. Dealing with this crisis of identity of who he was as a partner and the present him in regard to his wife, Oscar decides to live for himself.
Student Bio
My name is Jeff Owen Samonte, and I am a final year TV, Radio & New Media Honours student at MTU Kerry. Living in Tralee my whole life and studying for 4 years at this university, I have made this short film, “The Shadow I Cast on You”, using my various skills learnt so far. A piece I believe to live up to my time here. My main skills are video and sound editing, I love to edit whether it be on Premier, After Effects or Reaper. I just love seeing how I can make something ordinary into something extraordinary through editing and the challenge it gives my creativity. As for my hobbies, I play video games, volleyball and well, editing!
